All I Didn't Know I Learned from My Kindergartner
ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN ~ (a guide for Global Leadership)
"Take one of these items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or your government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all - the whole world - had cookies and milk at three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or if all governments had a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess."

How do I integrate in the IT in the pre K and kindergarten classrooms? I am often asked this question.

These answers were gleaned from K2@listserv.classroom.com

My students really enjoy making cards in MS Publisher. We usually do the side-fold card. They draw a pertinent picture in MS Paint and insert it into their card then type the sentiment inside.
Depending on the theme or unit, they draw a picture, insert it into MS Word then write a sentence about the picture e.g. a trip to the fire station resulted in lots of fire engines and fire hoses with plenty of water. They then wrote one sentence about the scene.
They've turned their favourite nursery rhyme into a slide presentation and illustrated it with their own drawings.
They've written their own short stories, drawn the illustrations and turned them into slide shows.
The best part about this is you can drop their work onto a CD at the end of the school year and send it home with them. They love to be able to show this to relatives.
