Mrs. Meacham's great kinder resources!!!

I just noticed "MyAwardMaker" is now "Certificate Street." The authors would like you to know that nothing else has changed and they are still the same website. The change from mywardmaker to certificate street is explained in the Certificate Street blog This comes with a logo and domain name change.
If you like the ease of use of this site with no login or password required you may also want to look at Worksheet Works which has customizable and printable worksheets and graphic organizers for most curriculum areas.
Take note of the worksheet library at Education World

This virtual cohort is one of several located in rural North Carolina districts being served by board-certified teachers."

Tag Galaxy is a mashup that provides an interesting way to locate images in Flickr. It searches the Flicker gallery using tags and as you refine the search you use more tags in order to narrow down the number of images selected. Finally you click on the planet to view the images on a 3D rotating globe. Remember to preview resources like these first!

Try spezify outside the classroom before using it with students. An about Spezify screencast can be viewed here. Great ideas for use of new search engine!

Spezify

We take web search further, away from endless lists of blue text links and towards a more intuitive experience. We want you to get a good overview of a subject, find useful information and be inspired with Spezify.

Experiment with Spezify which is a kind of freeform search tool that incorporates websites, videos, images, microblog posts and more into a grid of results. It's a visual search tool that pulls from Flickr, Yahoo, and a number of other search sources and and presents the results as thumbnails of screen shots, images, and videos spread out on your screen.
