If you teach in a lab setting, or, have computers in your classroom, you will absolutely LOVE this site! It’s called Computer Lab Favorites and it offers 50 self-contained K-5 learning activities, 15-30 minutes in length! it’s EASY to navigate, colorful, uses sound appropriately, and makes it super simple to find activities. Navigating the Internet can be challenging for our youngest learners, and this wheel metaphor is VERY natural and colorful. You could easily direct students by color and shape to the activities in question, many of which include audio. The content is high quality.

Have you met Mrs. P? it is a free children’s entertainment and educational website, celebrating books and reading.

Mrs. P, played by Kathy Kinney also known as Mimi on the hit sitcom, “The Drew Carey Show,” will read 15 classic fairy tales from her “Magic Library.” Some of the current fairytales available include: “Jack and the Beanstalk” "Little Red Riding Hood,” “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and more. A new story will be uploaded to the site every 3 weeks for your children’s reading pleasure! MrsP.com is a fun, new children's entertainment site that celebrates reading and books. The site features TV star Kathy Kinney as Mrs. P. This eccentric host is like Pippi Longstocking, Mary Poppins and Mrs. Claus all rolled into one: an amiable woman of mysterious origin who hopes to do for reading what "Sesame Street" has done for learning.

All the stories are classics, a choice made because they've stood the test of time and they are in the public domain, which means they're free to use.

Ninjawords displays synonyms and your search history, which is great when writing. You can compare definitions by looking up many words on the same page. Type them one by one and hit enter, or type them all at once in the search box, separated by commas. Try the random button for words of the day.
